This is the very last night space shuttle launch, and there is still time to see the space shuttle Endeavour lift off at the Kennedy Space center in the wee hours of the pre-dawn darkness at 4:39:44 a.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.
The rocket trail from the space shuttle will be visible along the entire eastern seaboard.
The space shuttle rocket trail from the solid rocket boosters will be visible as far north as North Carolina, and the main booster trail will appear in the eastern sky for about eight minutes after launch.
If seeing a space shuttle launch is on your bucket list, you better move soon.
There are only four more space shuttle launches and no more “large” rocket launches scheduled until 2030.
See my notes here on viewing a space shuttle launch.
